12-22-09: The Slow Race for Slots

The Anne Arundel County Council is scheduled to vote Monday night on legislation concerning zoning for slot machines in the county. Many say that the future of Maryland’s racetracks is inextricably tied to slots. To figure out what the vote means and how this will change things for racing and gambling in the Free State we talk with Laura Smitherman, State House reporter for The Baltimore Sun, and Liz Farmer, the Daily Record ‘s Sports Business reporter.
