How does one become an effective conductor? And can you be an excellent conductor — but just a so-so musician? These are questions that Gustav Meier answers in his new book The Score, the Orchestra, and the Conductor.
Gustav Meier is the Director of the Graduate Conducting Program at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore. He’s also the Music Director of the Greater Bridgeport Symphony Orchestra in Connecticut, and he’s conducted orchestras all over the world. He discusses his new work with Tom Hall.
