10-7-11: Redistricting Rorschach

Governor O’Malley’s Redistricting Advisory Committee released its Congressional redistricting map on Tuesday, after about a month of public hearings. Every ten years, Maryland’s Congressional and state legislative districts get reshaped to account for population changes registered in the U.S. Census. The next step is a special session of the General Assembly, later this month.
We found the committee’s suggestions for District 3 and District 7 to look an awful lot like inkblots. Today, Maryland Morning senior producer Lawrence Lanahan takes them out to give a few Rorschach Tests.
