Loose Cannon is one of the many Maryland beers you can try this week. Also one of several beers that Tom tried at 9:30 in the morning.
It’s Baltimore Beer Week. More than 50 venues will host more than 300 tastings, panels, competitions, and tours. Tom talks about them with Rob Kasper, a founder of Baltimore Beer Week, and a former columnist for the Baltimore Sun. He’s currently writing a book that will tell the history of Baltimore breweries, and the best beers to be found in this Land of Pleasant Living — beyond Boh, of course.
Thanks to listener Bernard Lyons for suggesting the music that accompanies this segment: “Beer Bottle Boogie.” We also received suggestions including “I Spent my Last $10″ by Two Nice Girls and “I Like Beer,” by Tom Hall, “Let’s Get Drunk and Screw” by the Ozark Mountain Daredevils. Then of course, there’s Mr. Boh’s jingle.
What’s YOUR favorite?
