On Saturday, the Enoch Pratt Free Library will screen Omar and Pete, a PBS documentary that follows two ex-offenders as they re-enter life in Baltimore City.
April Yvonne Garrett, founder of Civic Frame and Amplify Baltimore, is hosting the screening. It’s the first in the Civic Frame Documentary Film Series, ten films being shown in a year that is also the tenth anniversary of Civic Frame.
Today, Tom Hall talks to Garrett about her work in Baltimore, and about the films she’ll be screening at the Pratt and at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum.
On Saturday at 1pm, April Yvonne Garrett will host a screening and discussion of Omar and Pete at the Enoch Pratt’s Central Library. Amplify Baltimore airs nightly on TV25, Baltimore’s cable access channel.
