On Saturday, the Jordan Faye Contemporary Gallery in Baltimore will host the monthly open house for the Federal Hill Parlor Series. This series hopes to make classical music a part of Baltimore night life. In addition to the monthly open houses, the series brings musicians to people’s homes for an evening of food, music, and conversation.
Tom Hall talks to mezzo-soprano Megan Ihnen, who founded the Federal Hill Parlor Series.
The open house at the Jordan Faye Contemporary Gallery starts at 7:30 p.m. You can hear premieres of new compositions, as well as Holst’s “4 Sacred Songs.” The featured performers are mezzo-soprano Megan Ihnen, soprano Lydia Beasley, and violinist Joe Kneer.
