1-24-12: Al-Shabab and Craig Baxam

Earlier this month, an ex-soldier from Laurel was charged with trying to provide support to Al Shabab, a group in Somalia the U.S. has labeled a terrorist organization. Craig Baxam had been arrested in Kenya in late December; the FBI says he admitted wanting to join the group.
We’ll learn about Al Shabab and what it means when an American faces these charges from Anthony Villa, a Senior Law and Policy Analyst at the University of Maryland Center for Health and Homeland Security.
