5-11-12: Boundary Block Party

There are only seven blocks between the Baltimore neighborhoods of Sandtown and Bolton Hill, but economically and demographically, they can seem worlds apart.
Tomorrow, the fifth annual Boundary Block Party hopes to reach across lines of race, class, and geography to bring together residents of Sandtown and Bolton Hill, as well as Druid Heights, Madison Park, and Upton.
It’s at the corner of Pennsylvania Avenue and Presstman Street in Sandtown, and it’s organized by the No Boundaries Coalition, a deliberately diverse community association that represents those five neighborhoods.
Today, Sheilah talks to Mariska Jordan, a member of the No Boundaries Coalition and director of Jubilee Arts in Sandtown, and Bolton Square Homeowners Association president Monty Howard, also a member of the No Boundaries Coalition.
