Lotfy Nathan CREDIT Christopher Moore

Lotfy Nathan was majoring in painting at the Maryland Institute College of Art when he first started work on the hotly anticipated documentary Twelve O’Clock in Baltimore. He’s chosen a difficult subject, and taken to it with a simple premise. “This film explores the illegal practice of dirt bike riding through Baltimore City,” he writes “Two riders are followed throughout the streets of Baltimore on their dirt bikes.” Nathan wants to reveal the motivations of these often seen but rarely heard dirt bike enthusiasts, and depict what he sees as a “primal and energetic response to the tension between social classes.”

Lotfy Nathan now lives in New York, but he continues work on Twelve O’Clock in Baltimore, and he hopes to release the film later this year.

After two years the Screen Test is wrapping up. We’d like to thank Sascha’s 527 for catering our event, The Wind Up Space for giving it a home, Christopher Moore for taking all of our beautiful pictures, and all of the filmmakers for participating.
