The Civil War, 150 Years On
This year marks the 150th anniversary of the Civil War. As memorials, re-enactments and remembrances in the Old Line State approach we’ll be covering them, but over our four years here at Maryland Morning we’ve done a lot of segments about the conflict and events surrounding it. We’ll be collecting our new and old segments here as well as bringing you interesting coverage that other outlets are doing. Enjoy!
The New York Times is recovering their coverage of the conflict on the Disunion blog.

I just heard an article by a historian from the Walters Art Gallery
about a man who painted a civil war scene and died in Arbutus.
I can’t seem to find anything on you website about it.
I am interested to read and share with local artists,
I heard the speaker say the man was a member of the Charcoal Club. I would love to share with fellow artists.
