Listen to the conversation.

Yesterday, a Baltimore jury found Mayor Sheila Dixon guilty of embezzlement. She could be forced out of office after her sentence is handed down, and City Council President Stephanie Rawlings-Blake could find herself in the Mayor’s office.

In 2002, that’s where former Providence City Council President John Lombardi found himself after then-Mayor Vincent “Buddy” Cianci was sentenced for racketeering. Lombardi tells Sheilah what it takes to lead a city after its leader has been convicted.

Then Nathan talks to Craig Fahle, host of WDET’s Detroit Today. He covered the fallout from Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick’s indictment. He’ll talk about what we can expect from city hall.
