3-15-10: The Films of Eric Dyer

The zoetrope Eric Dyer used in the making of Copenhagen Cycles.

Eric Dyer is an assistant professor on the visual arts faculty at UMBC, and he’s also one of our area’s most innovative filmmakers. His beautiful, mesmerizing animated shorts have been screened all over the world.

His newest film art installation/cinema project, Bellows, incorporates three-dimensional printing. It screened yesterday at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas. Tom Hall caught up with Eric last week just before he split town for Austin.
