5-19-10: The Case for Home Funeral Care

When Elizabeth Knox  lost her seven-year-old daughter in a car accident, she found the idea of sending the child into the care of a morgue too upsetting. Nurses told her she could provide funeral care at home. Later, she set up a nonprofit called Crossings, based in Takoma Park, to help other people follow in her footsteps. Sheilah talks to Knox about home funeral care and green burials.
