There’s gonna be a lot of salsa happening in Patterson Park this weekend. The Latino Fest takes over the park in East Baltimore on Saturday and Sunday with music—salsa, merengue, cumbia, duranguense–and a lot more. This is the 30th year for the festival, and also the 30th anniversary of the non-profit educational and cultural organization–and Latino Fest founders–Education Based Latino Outreach.
Sheilah talks to one of EBLO’s founders, Claire Hollister, and asks her what “duranguense” is.
