1-24-11: Governor Martin O’Malley

Governor Martin O’Malley submitted a budget to the General Assembly on Friday for FY2012. Once again, there are major cuts to address a seven-figure deficit, including a $264 million reduction in Medicaid payments to hospitals.

Today, the governor joins Sheilah by phone to talk about the budget and pension reform.  He also discusses his top legislative priorities for this session, and how he hopes to bring more jobs to Maryland.
