Former South African president F. W. de Klerk helped to engineer the end of apartheid in South Africa.  In 1993, he won the Nobel Peace Prize along with Nelson Mandela for the role he played in the transformation of the South African government.

President de Klerk will be in Baltimore as part of the Baltimore Speakers Series this Thursday, February 24.   Today, Sheilah asks him about his time governing in South Africa, and how it compares with the current demonstrations in the Middle East.
