Wednesday night at The Windup Space, Tom Hall interviewed filmmaker Alvin Gray and screened some of his films for this month’s Maryland Morning Screen Test.

Alvin’s a behind-the-scenes kind of guy. He cut his technical chops by building up Overlea High School’s TV and radio program, as a board operator for Infinity Radio, and by hanging around the set of The Wire. Since then, he’s produced and directed three feature films–Torture, Sweet Dreams, and Senior Cut Day–and he’s in demand as a video producer for DC, Maryland, and Virginia R&B and rap artists.

Check out the work of our regular Screen Test photographer Christopher Moore.

Also to check out: the band Lands and Peoples, whose people Caleb Moore designed our snazzy Screen Test poster.
