Mental health court, drug court, truancy court? Maryland has been embracing these quote “problem solving” courts, which mandate time in social programs instead of jail. We’ll talk with Maryland’s former head public defender, Nancy Forster, about the future of problem solving courts and their impact on our wider judicial system.
