A film – a mystery! — that’s making the rounds of 70 cities will get a showing in Cockeysville tonight and Baltimore next week.  The mystery is something we’ve discussed before with experts on this program:  what’s behind the baffling disappearance of the honeybees we depend on to pollinate fruits, flowers and vegetables? We talk with the makers of the film, Vanishing of the Bees, Maryam Heinen , an investigative journalist and researcher and George Langworthy, who has produced, directed and filmed documentaries on many topics.

The Central Maryland Beekeepers Association is showing the film at 7:35 tonight at the Oregon Ridge Nature Center, 13555 Beaver Dam Road, Cockeysville.  No Charge.

Next Wednesday, May 11, there’s a screening at 7 pm at The Charles Theater, 1711 N. Charles St., Baltimore, part of the Whole Foods “Do Something Reel” Film Festival .
