What does a horse trainer do in the days leading up to a big race? And how do you prepare an animal that’s still just a colt?  Those are questions for Graham Motion, the Maryland-based trainer of Kentucky Derby winner Animal Kingdom.  The horse will race in the second leg of the Triple Crown, the Preakness, at Pimlico.

The horse will arrive in Baltimore early tomorrow–right now, he’s at Fair Hill Training Center in Elkton, Maryland.  So is Graham Motion–Sheilah speaks with him about his strategy for the Preakness tomorrow.
