6-22-11: Making Memories

It’s a cliché, “the senior moment.” You walk into a room, and forget why you came. You stop at the mall for a quick errand, and by the time you leave the store you have no idea where you parked the car. If we haven’t yet experienced senior moments ourselves, we’ve seen them. Researchers at Johns Hopkins University are investigating what’s behind them.
Leading a team that’s using brain imaging to watch memories being made is Dr. Michael Yassa, Assistant Professor of Psychological and Brain Sciences in the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences at Johns Hopkins University.
