6-24-11: The Interventionist

Joani Gammill lives in Annapolis with her husband, two kids and a Chihuahua named Lucy who goes with her almost everywhere. Gammill is also a registered nurse, a recovering pill addict…and working mom. She’s an interventionist–someone who gets paid to persuade addicts, with the help of those who love them, to get treatment.
Gammill writes about all this and more in her new book The Interventionist. Today she tells Sheilah how she went from the business end of an intervention to making a business out of them.
A book signing party for Gammill is scheduled on July 26th from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Caffe Pronto at Festival at Riva in Annapolis. Coffee and desert will be provided. Caffe Pronto is where Gammill wrote The Interventionist.
