This conversation originally aired September 29th, 2009.

Taylor Branch, the Baltimore-based, Pulitzer Prize-winning historian, has known Bill Clinton for nearly four decades. In September, he published his highly anticipated chronicle of the Clinton White House, which he wrote after 79 private sessions with the President during his two terms. It’s called The Clinton Tapes:  Wrestling History with the President.  Tom Hall talks to Branch about the wrestling in the conversations, and the struggle to write the book.
