You may have noticed the history buffs among us gearing up for the 150th anniversary of the Civil War and the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812.

How did these wars shape the Maryland we know today? We ask two local historians: Charles Ives, President of the Maryland chapter of the Society of the War of 1812, and Civil War expert Dan Toomey.
