Stephen Brighton digs Cockeysville. Literally. The University of Maryland assistant professor of anthropology tells us about the 19th century Irish quarry workers he’s learning about at an archaeological site in the tiny Baltimore County village of Texas.

Dr. Brighton is the author of Historical Archaeology of the Irish Diaspora: A Transnational Approach.
