Baltimore-based writer Michael Kimball is the author of four novels, the latest of which chronicles the final months of an elderly woman’s life from the perspective of her husband, and her grandson.  It’s called Us, published by Tyrant Books.

Today, Michael Kimball tells Tom about the personal experiences that influenced the writing, and why he chose such spare, powerful prose to tell the story.
