This conversation originally aired February 2, 2011.

Crownsville resident Chic Dambach is the former executive director of the Alliance for Peacebuilding, which promotes peaceful resolutions to conflicts around the world.  Before he came to the Alliance, he had a colorful and varied career that included a football scholarship to Oklahoma State University, service in the Peace Corps, work with various arts organizations, a collaboration with the singer Peter Yarrow in an organization that promotes anti-bullying initiatives, and even involvement with Olympic kayaking and canoeing.

He’s done other things, too, but we’ll leave it there for now.

Okay, one more: he recently published a memoir called Exhaust the Limits: The Life and Times of a Global Peacebuilder, published by Baltimore’s Apprentice House. This morning, he discusses peacebuilding with Tom Hall.
