9-30-11: Teaching to the Tech

Technological literacy is essential in this age, and schools are making an effort to incorporate it into curriculum. For some students, simply getting access to a computer is hard.

This week Comcast announced the Internet Essentials program, which will make owning a computer with internet access a possibility for low-income families. But is this the best way to go about getting technology to our students?

Davina Pruitt-Mentle is Director for Educational Technology  Policy, Research and Outreach. She joins us this morning to talk about Internet Essentials and what the best way is to use technology in education.
