That’s Really Super, Supercommittee

Congressman Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) talked to Sheilah Kast this morning about the looming deadline for the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction. The “supercommittee” has until next Wednesday to come up with a proposal to reduce the budget deficit by $1.5 trillion dollars.

This morning, Rep. Van Hollen told Sheilah that the latest offer from Republicans on the committee is “clearly not a balanced approach by any measure.” If that’s their final offer, he says, “indeed, we do have serious trouble.”
