11-30-11: Homeless Discrimination

The ACLU of Maryland and the Homeless Persons Representation Project say that women are not being treated fairly at the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Housing and Resource Center. Yesterday the City Council’s health¬†committee¬†held an investigative hearing on the subject.

Today, we talk to ACLU attorney Sonja Kumar and Homeless Persons Representation Project attorney Carolyn Johnson. A Baltimore City representative declined to provide anyone to join us, citing the threat of potential litigation.
