12-5-11: Last of “Last Rites”

WYPR’s news department just finished a series called “Last Rites: Death and Remembrance in Maryland.” It was a wide-ranging overview of cultural practices in our state, from ancient Native American burial practices to contemporary street-side memorials.

Sheilah talks to WYPR news managing editor Sunni Khalid about what he learned in reporting on the many different ways  Marylanders handle the end of life.
