Baltimore’s police commissioner, Frederick Bealefeld, has made getting officers on the street, on foot, a big part of his strategy to make the city safer.  One tactic he’s using to get officers out of their cars and onto the street…is to equip them with Blackberries that have a special policing app– called Pocket Cop. Producer Stephanie Hughes rode along with an officer who uses the technology.  She brings us this report.
