When you think of the needs of the homeless, you probably think of food, shelter, and clothing. But Robert Cradle thinks that personal grooming can be just as important, and about a decade ago he started Rob’s Barbershop Community Foundation.
Today we take a trip to one of his barbershops, where his foundation provides haircuts for the homeless.
Allstate Insurance has named Robert one of its “Give Back Day Heroes”—he’ll be recognized during the company’s community service effort on January 16, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Allstate is also making a donation to Robert’s foundation and sending him to the King Center for Nonviolent Social Change’s “Salute to Greatness” event in Atlanta on January 14th.
