1-31-12: Counting the Homeless

The census counts Americans by sending you a form, having you fill it out and then send it back. Or maybe a census worker shows up at your house. But what if you don’t have a house? This past week, several Maryland counties conducted their federally mandated point-in-time surveys of the homeless population in their jurisdiction.

This morning we talk with Sue Bull, Homeless Coordinator for Baltimore County, about how their census went, how they did it and what they expect to find.
