It seems to be a year for media anniversaries. WYPR is turning 10, the Baltimore Sun is 175, and the AFRO-American is 120 years old! This morning, we talk about the history of the oldest family-owned, continuously operating African-American newspaper in the United States with Ben Vinson and Moira Hinderer of the Center for Africana Studies at Johns Hopkins University, and AFRO archivist John Gartrell.
