3-27-12: The Power of Sibling Relationships
[audio http://stream.publicbroadcasting.net/production/mp3/wypr/local-wypr-1007926.mp3] Not everything about “The Brothers Size,” playing at Baltimore’s Everyman Theatre through April 15, will resonate immediately with viewers. It’s set in the south, close to the Louisiana bayou. It features three men, all of them black, two of them recently out of prison. But at the heart of it, the play is about a subject many people are intimately familiar with: the relationship between siblings.
Tom Hall talks with the three actors performing in “The Brothers Size” at Everyman: Yaegel T. Welch, who plays Ogun Size, Chinaza Uche, who plays Oshoosi Size, and Powell Lawrence, who plays Elegba, and with the playwright Tarell Alvin McCraney.
