In the summer of 1944, a big top caught fire during a matinee show in Harford, Connecticut. Author Michael Downs takes us back to that day in his collection of short stories (Tom would argue it’s a novel) The Greatest Show.  The author and Towson University professor talks with Tom about his book.

Michael Downs will be appearing as part of the the City Lit Festival at the Central Branch of the Enoch Pratt Free Library on April 14 at noon, on the panel “In Service of the Short Story.”
