These removable collars are by Miu Miu--but you can also just make your own from an old shirt. Or a LITTLEbird make-it kit.

Temperatures in the last few weeks have ranged from the high 30s to low 90s.  That 50-plus-degree spectrum can make it tricky to curate your wardrobe.  Should all the wool sweaters go into storage? How many tank tops do you need?  What’s a good way to layer?

Zoey Washington, CEO of the Baltimore-based company LITTLEbird, a fashion consulting company for the teen and tween demographic, talks with Sheilah about how to prepare for the spring.  One of the techniques she recommends for items you haven’t worn in a while is to repurpose it–for example, take an ill-fitting blazer and have it tailored into a vest.  She also recommends trying to make your own fashion items–such as a removable collar.

In this web extra, you can hear Zoey Washington provide more detail about LITTLEbird–and the do-it-yourself kits they create.
