Al Letson is the host and executive producer of State of the Re:Union, which is broadcast on more than 200 public radio stations across the country, including WEAA 88.9 here in Baltimore.  In each hour-long episode, Mr. Letson and his team pick an American city and explore the unique dimensions of the place and the people who live there.

Baltimore will be featured in an upcoming episode, and this weekend, Al Letson is joined by local musicians–including beatboxer Shodekeh and Baltimore recording artist Wendel Patrick–and others for State of the Re:Union Live at the Theater ProjectThe show opened last night, and it continues through Sunday.

Today, Al Letson pops over from the Theatre Project to tell Tom about his career as a poet, actor, playwright, and public radio personality.
