On February 19, Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake wrote to the City Council requesting that they withdraw their Land Bank Authority bill. As reported by City Paper last week, they obliged.

The bill, championed by former Mayor Sheila Dixon, would have attempted to streamline the city’s process for buying and selling vacant properties.

We talk to Jody Landers, executive vice president of the Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors, and Joshua Civin, vice president of the Board of Governors for the Citizens’ Planning and Housing Association, about the future of vacants in Baltimore.
