5-6-11: No Boundaries

Tomorrow, there will be a block party at the corner of Eutaw and McMechen in Baltimore. Actually, kind of a meta-block party. The spot is right at the intersection of the Bolton Hill and Madison Park neighborhoods, and three other neighborhoods are also taking part: Upton, Druid Heights, and Sandtown.

It’s called the Boundary Block Party. This is its fourth year, and it’s put on by the “No Boundaries Coalition,” a group of community activists from the five neighborhoods.

Today we talk with two members of the No Boundaries Coalition. Rebecca Nagle is an artist and the founder of No Boundaries, and she’s also on the board of the Sandtown Residential Action Committee. Catherine A. Starke is a member of the Sandtown RAC and No Boundaries, and she’s been a community worker in both Pigtown and Sandtown.
