April 13, 2010 at 6:17 pm 1 comment

MICA design faculty Inna Alesina and Ellen Lupton have a new book called Exploring Materials. They tell Tom how design can be revitalized by trading software and pencils for foam, wood, and wire.

Alesina and Lupton will appear at Baltimore’s Windup Space Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. for the 18th installment of D:Center Baltimore‘s “Design Conversation” series. Johns Hopkins University neuroscientist Charles Limb and David Peloff from JHU’s Center for Technology in Education are also on the bill.

Lupton will also speak at this weekend’s CityLit Festival.
